I’m Cade Burkhardt and I’m 16 I’ve been paddling for almost 3 years. I first learned about kayaking from my dad as he would always go on big trips far from home. I originally lived in Anderson Indiana and moved to Chattanooga Tennessee in 2019. Around this time we took a trip to the nantahalla and I got to see what whitewater kayaking on the cascades looked like, I knew from that moment kayaking is something I really wanted to do. Couple years later I got my first kayak it was a OG pyranha 9r that was cracked in 3 places and we brought it back to life. After a couple trips on the hiwassee I took a roll class with ace and I learned how to roll. I started interning at ace in the summer of 2024 and as of the start of 2025 I’m breaking into my first class 5s I’m super stoked for more time with ace and kayaking!
